388590_waterman_ball_penTwo weeks ago you had the most brilliant idea for a post and it generated a ton of traffic to your website. Conversations and discussion ensued, and you even gained an extra customer or two because of your brilliance. But now you’ve had absolutely no ideas for weeks and you just don’t know what to post anymore. Your traffic has dropped and you desperately want to invent a topic that wows your readers so that they’ll share it with others in the same niche. When you’re completely clueless, check out two ideas below.

Talk About Something Controversial

Here is a good time to play devil’s advocate. Some posts that are extremely controversial generate tons of traffic, and even if 90% of the people who read your blog disagree with it, they’ve come to your site and have even commented on what you have to say. The other 10% who agree with you are likely to become new followers. Some bloggers have become infamous for always going against the grain, and many of them have a loyal fan base of readers that agree and share the opinions on the blogs. You don’t have to always post controversial things, but weighing in on a big problem in your niche will build your perceived expertise.

Join a Blogger Club

The benefits of joining a club of your peers are enormous. First off, you can always run a new blog post through your group for feedback and new ideas, too. They will often have valuable input that you won’t get from anyone else. Second, being focused on the world that you’re writing about while you’re talking to other members of the group may help you focus your mind and help you discover additional topics as well.
