graphEven if you're making money right now, you can always happily make more, right? Everyone feels this way, but if you make the wrong move, you'll actually wind up losing more than you gain. When it comes to expanding your revenue sources in some way, it's important to do your research and choose wisely. Here are two options that have been used before, and may work for you.

Premium Content – for Members Only

A lot of websites have a free portion and a portion that costs some cash, and many of them are very successful. You’ll be building a loyal customer base while bringing more income in for your business. This won’t work for some companies, especially those who sell services and products, but it’s a good idea for those companies that are capable of charging for part of their sites. People love being part of a community, so go ahead and take advantage of that fact if possible.

Extra Services for Members

This is similar to a membership site, but it’s for all of those companies that cannot make their websites membership only. However, instead of part of the site being shut off to others, a service is the only thing shut off. Maybe you offer monthly coaching lessons and freebies if they sign up for your paid newsletter, or you offer interviews with successful people. No matter what it is, make sure people find it valuable enough to give you a reasonably sized fee every month.

When it comes to making money outside of just selling services and products, different forms of membership programs are definitely one option. Whether it's locking off an entire section of your website, or just providing one or two extra services for members, people will be interested to see what else you have to offer.
