1184018_business_team_-_vector_1Is your blog not getting the attention that you’d like? Sometimes we can post quality content that actually matters, and people still don't flock to our front doors. We know it’s not our content, we know it’s not the writing – so what else is there? It could be frequency, it could be that there is too much competition in your niche, but the important thing is that you don’t give up and you keep looking for new topics. Here are two places you can look to get you started.

Go to Industry Conferences

A lot of conferences are either free or low-cost for those who just wish to watch people speak about their fields of expertise. Sometimes they even include small snacks or meals in exchange for your patient attentiveness. These are great opportunities for you to grab some new information and different perspectives to write about when you’re done listening to the speakers. It’s also a great way to meet new people in your niche for networking purposes.

Get Your Work Critiqued

Find someone to help you write your content. Sometimes an honest review of what you have today will improve your content enough and give you a better idea of what to write about. A mentor is the best person for this kind of job, but sometimes a person in your field or a coworker can offer significant and valuable insight. Experts can often point out what’s missing in your blog, and suggest some subjects or niches you should cover in the coming months (or in some cases, subjects you should have already covered).
